Services and Rates:
Fine Tuning: For pianos that are maintained regularly, and kept in stable environmental conditions, fine tuning should be done about 1 to 2 times a year.
Pitch Adjustment: A kind of tuning that is done on pianos that are more than a little bit out of tune to bring them back up to or closer to standard pitch, A440.
Hammer Shaping: As pianos are played over the years, the felt hammers wear down from repeatedly striking the metal strings. The felt wears in the shape of the imprint of the piano strings and, if left untreated, develop grooves that lead to inconsistent tone and feel from the piano.
Cleaning: Pianos can get dusty and dirty over time and need cleaned like anything does. Cleaning the outside of the piano is important for hygienic purposes as well as aesthetics and can be accomplished with basic cleaning tools and special care. Cleaning the inside of the piano, though, requires taking apart the piano and extra sensitivity to the action, strings and other parts of the piano that are otherwise protected by the casing and cabinet.
